Full‑Day Tolantongo Hot Springs, Caves & River Tour from San Miguel de Allende

15 hours and 30 minutes

Easy

A full‑day adventure from San Miguel de Allende to Tolantongo’s warm pools, turquoise river, and natural caves — with small groups, comfortable transport, and bilingual guides for a smooth, stress‑free experience.

Your day begins with a relaxing breakfast buffet to fuel up before we head into the mountains. Once we arrive in Tolantongo, we start at the warm pools carved into the mountainside, taking in sweeping views and enjoying plenty of time to unwind.

From there, we make our way down to the turquoise thermal river, where you can enjoy a peaceful lunch along the water. After lunch, we continue exploring the river’s warm currents before moving toward Tolantongo’s impressive waterfalls and natural caves.

Before entering the caves, we pause to admire the dramatic waterfalls that frame the entrance. Inside, we use lamps to walk through warm flowing water, discover interior waterfalls, and see the origin point of the spring that gives Tolantongo its name — “place of warm moving water.”

(River and cave exploration depend on weather conditions in the days prior to ensure a safe and optimal experience.)
